I wanted to open up a proper discussion here about the new stadium plans for our beloved U’s.
After hearing Tim Williams’ latest update, it’s clear the situation is more urgent than ever. The Kassam lease will be gone in a couple of years, and without the Triangle site going ahead, we could be in serious trouble. Personally, I think the club has done a great job pushing for the new stadium, especially making it all-electric and more sustainable—could be a real game-changer for OUFC and the local community.
But I know not everyone agrees. Some folks are worried about the location, traffic, and the impact on the Green Belt. I’d love to know what the rest of you think:
Do you believe the new stadium is the right move for the club?
Are you concerned about the delays with planning permission?
How do you feel about the temporary Kassam extension?
What should the club be doing to keep the fans engaged and informed through all this?
Let’s have a proper debate—after all, it’s our club’s future we’re talking about.
Absolutely agree — the new stadium is vital. We can’t rely on Kassam much longer. The Triangle site sounds promising, but the delays are worrying. Club needs to keep us all informed and push hard to get this over the line. No stadium, no future — simple as that.
COYY!
